Super Chix's similarities to Chick-fil-A are not exactly coincidences. The chicken-sandwich concept first snared attention nine years ago as a test vehicle for Yum Brands, whose KFC chain was getting its feathered butt kicked by the Eat Mor Chikin sloganeer. Super Chix was Yum's learning lab. Yum sold the experiment to its champions after Unit #2, and they've brought the brand's all-natural chicken, freshly cut fries and frozen custard to 20 locations averaging $1 million-plus in annual sales.
